Space Punk Racer Walkthrough

Space Punk Racer is a cartoonish racing game slightly reminiscent of the original F-Zero. This racing game features colorful graphics, twenty-four achievements, and eight alien worlds to race on.

The objective of Space Punk Racer is to complete each course before time runs out. There are AI-controlled bikers on each course, but you do not have to beat them; you are only racing against the clock in this racing game. Completing one race unlocks the next. Your progress is saved, so any races that you unlock will be available the next time that you play.

The basic keyboard control scheme used in Space Punk Racer is common in racing games, so veterans of the genre should be able to pick things up quickly. The up and down arrow keys accelerate and brake respectively while the left and right arrow keys are used to steer. Once you have collected energy (represented by spinning blue icons found on the track), you will be able to emit shockwaves from your bike by pressing the Z key and use your boosters by holding the X key. Shockwaves can be used to destroy other vehicles. Destroy other bikers to gain bonus time, but avoid killing civilians since you will lose time for doing this.

Space Punk Racer allows you to upgrade your hoverbike before each race. You can upgrade your handling, engine, boost, and shockwave. Your bike's engine is probably the most important upgrade, followed by handling. The boost upgrade is not necessary, but may be helpful, especially if you are trying to break previous time records or earn achievements. The shockwave upgrade is the least important since destroying other bikes is not an absolute necessity in this racing game. If you need more money, try to collect green dollar signs ($) in races.

Space Punk Racer is a straightforward and downright fun racing game. The only problem is that there are no races against AI-competitors. Gamers that require an additional challenge to racing against the clock can always try to unlock all twenty-four of this racing game's achievements, however.
