Pro Rally 2 Walkthrough

Pro Rally 2 is an excellent overhead racing game that will keep you on your toes and put your racing skills to the test. This one is going to be a bit difficult for beginners to get the hang of but more experienced players will find it a little less challenging. Regardless of your skill and experience level though, you will have a great time with this game. The goal of the game is pretty simple and not especially uncommon in the world of online racing games; race through the track you choose as quickly as you can without crashing.

In Pro Rally 2, you are given five different cars to choose from - the Razor, the Evo, the Blue Wagon and the Rally Wagon - that each offer different strengths and different weaknesses. This is especially beneficial for beginners who are having trouble getting the hang of keeping their cars under control. You're able to look for a car that is strong in areas where your driving skills are weak. Choosing your car wisely is a great way to get ahead in the game right from the start. If you're a newcomer having trouble with overall control choose a car that offers good balanced control like the Blue Wagon or the Rally Wagon. They offer great handling, plenty of speed, fast acceleration and good braking making it much easier for newcomers to keep their cars under control. For more experienced players, the Razor or Evo are great options. They don't offer as much in the way of handling which will make the game a bit more difficult for those advanced players who find the tracks in this game a bit too easy.

The greatest thing about Pro Rally 2 is the wealth of tracks it offers. You can choose from the grassy track, the curvy snow track, the wavy dirt track, the easy snow track, the narrow dirt track or the tricky dirt track although to race on some of the tracks you'll need to the Arcage Region website to play. It's worth trying all of the tracks although beginners are going to have a hard time with some of the tracks. Each track has new twists and turns and new obstacles you'll have to face off against. While in many of the tracks obstacles are only found on the side, some of the tracks feature obstacles on the track itself which you'll have to avoid. The tricky part isn't just avoiding the obstacles on the track but is also trying to stay on the track in the first place. Getting off the track will slow you down significantly. While crashing into obstacles and running off the track won't end your game, they'll slow you down enough to make getting a decent time much harder.

Choosing the right track for your skill level in Pro Rally 2 is just as important as choosing the right car. This is true of most racing games online, but especially so here. Since you're able to try out any of the courses from the time you start your game, it can be tempting to start out on some of the later, more advanced tracks. This is fine for someone who has a little more experience with this type of online racing game, newcomers should really stick to the 'grassy' track to begin with. The grassy track is fairly difficult, but it's quite a bit easier than the other tracks. This will give you the chance to get used to how the game is played and will prepare you for what to expect from some of the harder tracks. More experienced players are going to want to try out some of the more advanced tracks like the tricky dirt track. The tricky dirt track combines all the best elements of the other tracks into one extremely challenging track.

Everything you need to know in Pro Rally 2 is laid out in a basic and easy to understand way. There is very little about this game that is complicated. When you're choosing your car, all you need to hover your mouse over the name of the car you're interested in using and look up to the top right corner of the screen. All the basic stats of the car are indicated by stars making the right choice for you pretty easy to pick out. The same can be said of choosing a track. Hover your mouse over the name of the track and look to the top left of the game screen. You'll see a picture indicating what the track looks like. You can see where all the twists and turns are and how sharp those turns are. If it looks too complicated, try a different track. You can always go back later when you're a little more comfortable with the game. On the right side of the top of the track screen, you'll see the time goals you will need to meet if you want to get a medal. If you complete the track fast enough you can get either a gold, silver or bronze medal, but it's best to leave trying for medals for the more experienced players until you're a little more familiar with racing on the track.

Pro Rally 2 is going to be a hard game for newcomers to racing games, but the best thing about it is that, even for beginners, it won't feel impossible. Every track in this game can be conquered with a little time and patience. The key to completing these races with a decent score is to remember that speed isn't everything. In order to successfully navigate around some of the obstacles in this game is to slow down a little bit as you approach them. If you approach with too much speed, you'll lose control of your car and end up either hitting the obstacle you're trying to avoid or running off the side of the track. Both things are to be avoided. You'll typically be able to recover and get back on the track fairly quickly, but it will definitely hurt your score.

Overall, Pro Rally 2 is an addictive and engrossing racing game that will entertain any fan of racing games regardless of their skill or experience level. While newcomers to the genre are going to have a hard time getting the hang of this one, it's still a lot of fun. It doesn't matter if you get a gold, silver or bronze medal score. You're still going to want to play. With a little time and practice, anyone can do well in this game. The best thing about it is that with a game this fun, practice is no problem. More experienced players are going to love the fact that they can try for medal scores which adds a new and interesting challenge to the game. On some of the more difficult tracks, getting a gold medal time is going to be difficult for even the most experienced players. If you're a fan of racing games or just games that challenge your skills, this is definitely a gaming experience you need to have.
